This page has been put together to help you understand the way the Legion of Medb works, we are a small guild and our aim is to grow numbers and levels so that, one day, the high level raid instances will be achievable.
When you reach level 40 you are able to purchase a mount for riding, this can be costly and the guild would like to support you in that purchase. We have a whip around from the guild and it works best it everyone contributes. Then when it's your turn the same will happen for you... please notr only one mount per player can be helped (not for your alts for example). About 2-3g each is helpful.
A system is in place for you to get support from within the Guild, the idea is that a high level member will asisist a lower level member on a regular basis. So that thelower level character can level quickly and efficiently. In turn that lower level character can assist someone lower than them.
The high level character is the Knight and the lower level member is the Squire. See Table
If you don't have a buddy in this way then please contact one of the Guild Officers.
We would like all Guild members to use the Guild Event Manager (GEM) tool, it will help people to see what instances have been planned and will allow you to sign up for them if you can participate.
An Add On pack has been created which includes GEM, please download it and install. For help contact Shovaa/Tokra.
More information here.
GEM can be dowloaded as a separate addon here. Also, please install the GuildMEDB addon from here, this will update your guild note with your skills automatically. Unzip these files and put the resulting folder in the <WoW Directory>/Interface/Addons folder.
If we have missed out your favourite addon, please let us know so we can include it. I am currently researching some enchanting addons any ideas?
The Medb guide to tanking, well here's a good guide written by someone else...
What’s a tank, you ask?
A tank is a class whose primary role is to keep the monsters’ attention
and absorb damage while the other people in your group blast the monster with
high-damage spells and heal you. The warrior is good at this as he/she can wear
mail, and later plate, armor, and because he can use shields. Also, the warrior
has innate abilities dealing with shields and maintaining agro (the attention
of the monster, or mob).
First off, no matter what your specialization, always carry a one-handed weapon
and shield that is current to your level with you. You will 90% of the time
have to tank an instance dungeon, so not carrying a shield and 1h weapon is
a death wish.
When you tank, here are some things to keep in mind:
